HP StorageWorks XP24000 Disk Array
HP Introduces New High-End Disk Array for Enterprise Computing Environments Requiring 24/7 Data Availability.
The HP StorageWorks XP24000 Disk Array integrates with HP’s server family, networked storage solutions and services to provide a complete disaster recovery solution. At the same time, the new XP24000 processors and new array provisioning technology deliver higher performance and lower power consumption than earlier XP models.
The XP24000 can be shipped with thin-provisioning software, which helps reduce overall data center costs by automatically provisioning disk capacity from a pooled virtual pool on demand. Since this software solution reduces the number of hard drives required compared to conventional storage configurations, XP StorageWorks Thin Provisioning Software helps you save energy and reduce the heat generated by the disk array.
The bulletproof XP24000 platform provides complete fault tolerance and data replication capabilities that make it difficult to create a complex heterogeneous storage environment. Features such as hot swapping, real-time updates without disruption, and dynamic partitioning greatly enhance the company’s ability to adapt to changing business needs.
XP24000 is also used to consolidate and manage heterogeneous storage systems. HP StorageWorks XP External Storage Software virtualizes HP and non-HP storage to create a cost-effective tiered storage solution and simplify storage management. In addition, HP XP External Storage software integrates storage resources for data migration and transfer of tasks on arrays. XP24000 storage capacity reaches 247 Petabytes with support for external drives.
XP24000 connection interface, internal with disks and external with servers, is 4 Gbps. Supports up to 1,152 hard drives for a total internal capacity of 332 Terabytes. The new array reaches a maximum performance of 3.5 million. cache I / O operations per second. XP24000 ships with advanced HP StorageWorks XP Array Manager software for configuration, management, partitioning, and data security using a web interface. Also, the HP Services division offers services for preparing the information center for the implementation of the solution, for initializing the system and putting it into operation.
The XP24000 enterprise-class disk array is the result of a long-term collaboration between HP and Hitachi Limited of Japan in hardware design and manufacturing.
HP StorageWorks XP24000 will go on sale approximately in July 2021. HP will continue to sell and support earlier versions of XP disk arrays, including the HP StorageWorks XP12000 and XP10000.
