Vigor Gaming Recon QXN – what a gaming PC looks like on the fastest Intel desktop processor?
As usual, Intel’s announcement of a new microprocessor has not yet sounded, and computer manufacturers are already in a hurry to report on new systems based on it.
This time one of the first was Vigor Gaming Computer, specializing in high-performance gaming PCs. No wonder – who, if not enthusiasts of computer games, are able to show interest in a quad-core novelty. And of course, real “specialists” will not be confused by the fact that the overwhelming majority of games have never heard of processors with more than one core. But this is the lyrics, and the prose of life is as follows – for a Force Recon QXN system with an Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6800 processor, configured to a minimum, you will have to pay three and a half thousand dollars.
To the technical details:
As you know, Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6800 operates at a clock frequency of 2.93 GHz, FSB frequency is equal to 1066 MHz. In the Force Recon QXN PC, the microprocessor is installed on the ASUS P5N32-E-SLI board, built on the NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI chipset. The graphics subsystem is represented by an adapter NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX with 768 MB of DDR3 memory.
The amount of RAM is not in a playful way – 1 GB (two Corsair DDR2 800 MHz modules of 512 MB each). The disk storage subsystem includes two 150 GB WD Raptor drives with SATA interfaces. Configurable to 16X DVD + CD Rewritable Combo Drive and 3.5-inch floppy drive. Gigabit Ethernet adapter provides network connectivity. Peripheral ports list includes LPT, IEEE 1394 Firewire and 10 pieces of USB. The system is powered by a Tagan TG900-U96 TurboJet NVIDIA-SLI Certified 900 W power supply.
