Quintet of Gigabyte motherboards on Intel Bearlake chipsets
DailyTech has released information on Gigabyte Ultra Durable 2 motherboards that will be officially unveiled by the manufacturer early next month at Computex 2021. New items will be equipped with polymer capacitors, which has already become a good tradition for the company.
The line of motherboards using Intel P35 and G33 Express chipsets will look like this:
P35-DQ6 and P35T-DQ6 are flagship full-size ATX solutions, equipped with two full-size PCIe x16 interfaces (one in x2 or x4 mode), three PCIe x1 and two PCI, six SATAII ports via the chipset south bridge, one IDE and two SATAII via an additional controller, an eight-channel HDA codec made by Realtek and a heat pipe cooling system.
The key difference between these models is the type of memory supported – DDR2 for the P35-DQ6 and DDR3 for the P35T-DQ6.
Slightly more modest characteristics of the P35-DS3R and G33-DS3R (the latter with integrated graphics). These products will not have the ability to create configurations with multiple graphics cards – just one PCIe x16 slot. This allowed the manufacturer to implement an additional PCI slot (three in total) on the boards, which will not be superfluous for many users.
The rest of the functionality is determined by the same Intel ICH9R south bridge and additional disk controller as the products described above.
Supported memory type – DDR2.
The cooling system will be passive, but buyers of these boards will not receive heat pipes.
Finally, the G33M-DS2R is a micro-ATX solution. Its configuration includes 1 x PCIe x16, 1 x PCIe x1, 2 x PCI, 6 x SATAII, 1 x IDE.
