MRV has released a new modification of the compact WDM platform LambdaDriver-400 series
MRV has announced the release of a new modification in the line of compact chassis LambdaDriver-400 (LD400), designed for building CWDM / DWDM networks.
The new LD400L chassis allows the use of two-slot modules designed for installation in the LD1600 chassis with the same compact dimensions as the standard LD400 constructs. Among these modules are multichannel (for more than 16 channels) multiplexers / demultiplexers DWDM, ROADM, specialized optical and Raman amplifiers.
LD400L chassis is a modified LD400 platform with modified number of slots and their dimensions. Unlike the LD400 chassis, which has 6 single-size slots, one of which is dedicated strictly for installing the control module, the LD400L two slots are double (intended for installing EM1600 modules), and of the remaining two single slots, one is also used exclusively for EM800-MNGD modules. Single single slot LD400L accepts any existing EM800 and EM2021 series modules.
Otherwise, the dimensions, appearance, power consumption and other parameters of the LD400L chassis do not differ from the LD400. LD400L devices can be equipped with AC or DC power supplies, or a combination of both.
LD400 and LD400L series devices make wave multiplexing systems even more affordable for telecom operators and enterprises, providing them with more efficient use of installed fiber-optic lines and solving the problem of connections in networks with different protocols. The LambdaDriver-400 system has a fully modular architecture and consists of a compact 2U 19 “rackmount chassis and a set of hot-swappable modules. Modules for the LambdaDriver-800 platform include multiplexers, demultiplexers, OADMs, optical amplifiers, as well as access modules to WDM channels (transponders) for various speeds and protocols up to 10 Gbps.
